While a full-out Vacation to a great destination is a wonderful thing, there are great benefits to be had from just a weekend or Long Weekend spent at a cottage, trailer, or other vacation home.
The clock tower stands forever in all its glory; inside, a library. In the attic is a man, gazing upon the world. He stands, silent, so observant. The clock keeps ticking and ticking, the man unshaken. The days keep passing by. The hour bells ring. But the man is yet unmoved.
As the years went by, the man continued his vigil from the attic of the clock tower library. He watched as the world changed and evolved, yet remained unchanged himself. He saw wars come and go, witnessed the rise and fall of empires, and observed the ebb and flow of society.
Despite his long years of observation, the man remained a mystery to those who knew of him. Some whispered that he was a ghost haunting the clock tower, while others believed he was a wise sage who had achieved enlightenment.
One day, a curious young woman climbed up to the attic to meet the man. She found him sitting cross-legged, his eyes closed, lost in meditation. She approached him cautiously, but he did not stir.
After a few moments of silence, the man opened his eyes and looked at her. His gaze was piercing, and she felt as if he was looking deep into her soul. Without a word, he stood up and walked towards the door. The woman followed him down the stairs and out of the library.
As they walked through the town, the man spoke to her about the nature of time and the importance of living in the present moment. He shared his wisdom and knowledge, and the young woman felt as if a veil had been lifted from her eyes.
When they reached the outskirts of the town, the man turned to her and said, “Remember this moment, for it is all we have. The past is gone, and the future is yet to come. The present is all we have, and we must make the most of it.”
With those words, the man disappeared into the mist, leaving the young woman with a newfound sense of purpose and clarity. From that day on, she lived her life with intention and mindfulness, inspired by the mysterious man in the clock tower.
